Love.. We should have the freedom to choose who to love regardless of race, age, beliefs and gender right?Well... apparently it's wrong when it comes to the gender issue...In our "so called" modern society, people still prefer to see the conventional boy loves girl and girl loves boy scenario.. rather than the controversial boy loves boy or girl loves girl scenario..We are inculcated to believe that it is unbecoming of a person to fall in love with the same gender..If we happen to feel that way, we are deemed to be an embrassment to our parents and a disgrace to the society..it would be best if we kept these thoughts tucked away in a place called fantasy world..rather than bring it out in the open..
Is it wrong to love someone?even if it's of the same gender? Why cant we look beyond the gender factor and search for the person within? I believe homosexuals are attracted to the person that's beyond their gender..gender is not the issue to them..neither is the outward appearance important.. what matters to them is the inner self of that individual..these homosexuals probably saw something beautiful in them which we heterosexuals have overlooked..it could well be an oversight caused by adhering to social codes.. why must homosexuals be victims of social stigmas?If to love your neighbours, brothers and sisters is to exclude them..then do we really understand what it is like to love?
What is the point of conforming to social codes? so that we wouldnt be made a mockery of someone's cruel joke?So that we can be acknowledged as part of human race? What is the use of trying to assimilate with the rest when you become doleful in the process..societal pressure? prehaps..prehaps... Werent we suppose to help the afflicted and honour all people?Why have the human race turned their backs to those who are contrary to what we are?They are still children of God and yearn to be loved and accepted just like you and I..
Why do we have to choose whom to love?Love today has become an entangled affair with a trivial chance of a "happily ever after" ending if you're a homosexual..it's frustrating for those who happen to fall in this category.. they are constantly questioning themselves why they are different and where they have gone wrong..i have nothing but my utmost sympathy for them cause they have to lead a "double life" for the sake of their family's "face" and for the sake of society..what rubbish..but well this is a truculent world and for Asians to "lose face" is like not being able to face the world ever again...
When will all these suffering stop?and when will these people break free and be with the ones they truly love..Is it due to the fact that it disgust you seeing these people around giving so much love in which you are unable to reciprocate to your heterosexual partners?or is it because you have already been brainwashed to outcast these people.. how can you profess that you love one another when your have already single "them" out to hate and despise....
